Kaufman Rossin’s Adrian Alfonso Appointed as Chair of Florida Early Learning Advisory Council
Florida Gov. Rick Scott appointed Kaufman Rossin’s Adrian Alfonso, CPA, as chair of the Florida Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) in recognition of his work as chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe.
As chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe since 2013, Alfonso has helped provide early care and education to more than 50,000 children and their families in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Alfonso will bring the same focus and commitment to children’s education across the state of Florida in his new role as chair of the ELAC.
“Serving on the board of the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe has shown me the importance of providing quality early learning programs for all children,” Alfonso said. “I’m honored to take on this role with the Florida Early Learning Advisory Council and continue providing children with opportunities to learn and develop.”
ELAC includes private and public-sector leaders who bring business and community-focused perspectives to early learning. The council leverages partnerships and resources to support workforce development through local access to quality care for working families and provide education to young children.
