Kaufman Rossin’s John Anzivino Receives 2018 Distinguished Estate Planner Award
Kaufman Rossin, one of the top CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced today that Estate and Trust Principal John Anzivino, CPA, is the 2018 recipient of the Distinguished Estate Planner Award by the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami.
The Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami is an organization of professional estate planners focused on “establishing and monitoring the highest professional and educational standards” and “fostering public awareness of the quality services rendered by professionals who meet these standards.” Members represent the six estate planning disciplines: accounting, financial planning, insurance, law, planned giving and trust services.
The Distinguished Estate Planner award recognizes professionals for making outstanding contributions to the field of estate planning. Anzivino leads Kaufman Rossin’s estate, trust and exempts organization practice and private client services and has more than has more than 40 years of experience in the field.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by my peers for this award,” said Anzivino. “I’m thankful that I have been able to help so many clients and families plan the transition of their businesses and wealth.”
Anzivino specializes in estate planning services and advises clients on tax planning, filing of estate tax forms, representation before the IRS for tax examinations, preparation of state and federal income tax returns, post-mortem tax planning and final Form 1040 filing for decedent.
With his extensive knowledge of the estate and trust field, Anzivino has been quoted in several financial news and business publications. Anzivino is a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, which has honored him with the Professional Advisor of the Year Award. He is also the founding president of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Miami-Dade, an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Law School Masters in Taxation program and a frequent lecturer for various professional groups.
Active in the community, Anzivino has served on the College Assistance Program (CAP) board of directors for more than 30 years, including two terms as president. He is also a board member of the Deering Estate Foundation. Additionally, he assisted Probate Judge Maria M. Korvick as her campaign treasurer, and has volunteered his time and expertise with The Miami Foundation, The Red Cross, Labrador Rescue, University of Miami and Cristo Rey Miami High School.
