Kaufman Rossin Names Lazaro Escandel Chief Financial Officer 

As CFO, Escandel draws on nearly three decades of institutional knowledge to lead the firm’s financial reporting, strengthening revenue management, cost discipline and technology investment. 

MIAMI. Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 50 firms in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Lazaro Escandel as Chief Financial Officer.

As CFO, Escandel will execute the firm’s financial strategy, with a focus on strengthening revenue management, enhancing cost control and profitability, and helping drive the technology investments and initiatives that will support the firm’s next chapter of growth.

Escandel joined Kaufman Rossin in 1996 and has spent nearly three decades with the firm, most recently serving as Principal in Assurance & Advisory Services, where he led audit engagements for public and private companies and served as one of the firm’s manufacturing and distribution industry leaders. He has extensive experience conducting group audits for multinational corporations, collaborating with foreign and domestic subsidiaries and their auditors, and advising private companies on covenant compliance and internal controls. Throughout his tenure, he has also been a champion for IT innovation within the firm, evaluating new technology and participating in IT-related business decisions to streamline operations, experience that will directly inform his focus on technology investment as CFO.

Escandel earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Florida International University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
