Kaufman Rossin promotes Makiel Morciego to International Tax Services principal
Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 50 firms in the U.S., has promoted Makiel Morciego, CPA, to principal within the International Tax Services practice.
Morciego manages tax engagements for foreign and domestic clients investing in U.S. and foreign businesses. He focuses on international tax planning, preparation, and tax research, with the goal of understanding all available options for his clients and recommending the best possible tax strategy. He also recruits, trains, and mentors tax professionals on his team, delivering exceptional service to clients in a fast-paced, growing market.
His previous experience includes serving as an assistant to the controller at a private company, where he reviewed financial statements, managed daily data entry, and forecasted activity for upcoming periods.

Morciego is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
He holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida International University.
