Marjorie Horwin joins Kaufman Rossin as tax advisory principal

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., announced the addition of Marjorie Horwin, CPA, as a principal in the private client services group within the tax advisory services practice. She brings over three decades of experience helping high-net-worth individuals and owners of closely held businesses protect family wealth.

Horwin specializes in working with clients to minimize income and transfer taxes, provide asset protection, facilitate business succession, and address charitable planning issues. She leverages her extensive expertise in the areas of income, trust, gift, and estate tax planning and compliance to structure plans that enhance income and estate tax efficiency. She also represents clients in income, gift, and estate tax examinations with the IRS.

Additionally, she provides litigation support for estate and trust controversies as well as consults on international income and estate planning issues.

Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Horwin worked at a large national accounting firm as principal-in-charge of the firm’s private wealth services group, where she specialized in income, estate, trust, and exempt organization tax planning and compliance. She also has experience working for Big 4 firms.

She remains active in the community, serving on numerous committees including the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

Horwin earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami and is a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
