Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent accounting firm in Florida and one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced the promotion of Matthew Wahler, CPA, to principal in the tax advisory services department.

Wahler provides tax compliance, advisory and consulting services for estates, trusts, tax-exempt organizations and high-net-worth individuals. He has extensive experience advising individuals, families and fiduciaries on tax and administration matters for estates and trusts. His expertise includes planning for individual retirement accounts and public and private charities.

He is one of the leaders in the firm’s private client group, which focuses on integrating services throughout the firm to meet the sophisticated needs of high-net-worth individuals.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from Baruch College in New York City. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and the state of New York. Wahler participated in the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute, co-chairs ADL Florida’s Education Committee, and is the acting treasurer for Steps 2 Walk.
