Matthew Wahler is a manager in Kaufman Rossin’s estate and trust practice. He provides tax compliance, advisory and consulting services for estates, trusts, tax-exempt organizations and high-net-worth individuals.

Specifically, Matthew assists and advises executors and trustees with administration issues, including tax compliance, asset transfers and funding trusts. He helps his clients understand trust provisions, the role of a fiduciary and the tax implications of trust transactions. Matthew also supervises the preparation of income tax returns for estates, trusts and individuals; gift tax returns; estate tax returns; and returns for public charities and private foundations.

Before joining Kaufman Rossin in 2013, Matthew worked for a Big Four firm in the financial services tax department. He primarily assisted clients with private equity and hedge fund compliance.

Matthew is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from Baruch College in New York City. He graduated from the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute in 2017.
