Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced today that Assurance and Advisory Services Principal and Audit Practice Leader Tanya M. Ferreiro, CPA, has been elected to the firm’s management committee.
“Tanya is an exceptional, innovation-focused leader whose tremendous insight into the client experience and perspective on operational and financial management bring value to the firm at the highest levels,” said Chief Executive Officer Blain Heckaman, CPA. “We’re happy to have her voice represented on the management committee.”
As part of the seven-member management committee, Ferreiro will be responsible for leading firm strategy and growth plans, as well as overseeing operations and financial management.
Ferreiro also leads Kaufman Rossin’s audit practice, a role which involves managing one of the firm’s largest departments and identifying ways to improve the client experience and grow the practice, principally through innovation. Her technical expertise is in providing assurance services for closely-held businesses and international companies in various industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing and distribution.
In addition, she leads the firm’s non-profit industry group and is involved with all of the firm’s non-profit audit clients, providing quality control reviews, including engagements requiring single audits under OMB Circular A-133 and the Florida Single Audit Act. Since joining the firm in 1992, Ferreiro has worked with several notable non-profits, including United Way of Miami-Dade, The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, and the Miami Dade College Foundation.
In 2017, Ferreiro was recognized as one of the “Most Influential Business Women” by the South Florida Business Journal. She also won Miami-Dade County’s “In the Company of Women” award in 2016.
Tanya is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University.
