Tanya Ferreiro named among most influential business women
Kaufman Rossin announced today that Assurance and Advisory Services Principal Tanya M. Ferreiro, CPA, was named one of the 2017 Most Influential Business Women by the South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ).
The award honors professional women who have a “record of leadership, performance and innovation” in their industry, as well as meaningful community involvement. Honorees were recognized at an awards luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 12, 2017.
“I’m proud to be recognized as a leader in my field,” says Ferreiro, who also won Miami-Dade County’s In the Company of Women award in 2016.
Ferreiro leads Kaufman Rossin’s audit practice, a role which involves managing one of the firm’s largest departments and identifying ways to increase productivity, realization and revenue, principally through innovation. Her technical expertise is in providing assurance services for closely-held businesses and international companies in various industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing and distribution.
In addition, she leads the firm’s non-profit industry group and is involved with all of the firm’s non-profit audit clients, providing quality control reviews, including engagements requiring single audits under OMB Circular A-133 and the Florida Single Audit Act. Since joining the firm in 1992, Ferreiro has worked with several notable non-profits, including United Way of Miami-Dade, The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, and the Miami Dade College Foundation.
