Overview
Deborah Young is a leader in Kaufman Rossin’s entrepreneurial services practice, with expertise in providing federal and state income tax compliance, planning, and consulting services to entrepreneurial and closely held businesses, hedge funds and their investors, professional service firms and high-net-worth individuals.
Within the firm, Deborah heads an initiative to train and mentor young professionals across the entrepreneurial services department. Her goal is to elevate the client experience and create opportunities for employee advancement by strengthening her team’s skills in solving state income tax compliance issues, preparing and reviewing returns, and addressing tax notice responses.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin in 1998, Deborah was a tax senior at Grant Thornton LLP, where she prepared and reviewed corporate returns, as well as federal and state income tax returns, for closely held businesses.
Active in the community, Deborah serves on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami’s board of directors and was formerly treasurer of the organization’s women’s committee. She is also a founding member of the Miracle Society and Adopt a Classroom and is involved with the Greater Miami Humane Society. In addition, she serves on the University of Miami Citizens Board.
