Overview
William Byatt is the software engineering director at Kaufman Rossin where he leads the technical team that builds and maintains all internal custom software.
William brings over a decade of professional software development experience, working at every stage of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, requirement specification, engineering, and deployment. He is skilled in articulating technical needs to business management staff and organizing technical teams towards a common product goal by providing business requirement context.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a consultant assisting clients in building their software teams, understanding their projects’ cost overruns, and creating processes to improve the feedback loop between engineering and management. He also worked for a South Florida health-tech startup developing and maintaining an electronic health record application, and he has consulted for multiple University laboratories on projects from supercomputing drug discovery to field-deployed corrosion sensors for civil infrastructure. He is well-versed in Agile project management, software development lifecycle management, full stack application development, and software design and architecture.
