Louis Guay to Serve on Canada Florida Chamber of Commerce Board

Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced today that Tax Principal Louis O. Guay, MBA, has been elected to the board of directors for the Canada Florida Chamber of Commerce (CCCF).

The chamber is a “bilateral organization dedicated to cross-border economic success of its members.” It has witnessed a significant increase in business between Quebec and Florida and is expanding its resources to support all of Canada, which conducts $8 billion in trade with Florida each year. Board members are considered “driving agents of North American commerce” and include professionals with diverse backgrounds, such as accounting, law, real estate, and global marketing.

Kaufman Rossin is a member of The Canada Florida Chamber of Commerce and was recently elevated to Trustee. The firm also had the honor of helping the organization with its two most recent trade missions to South Florida.

“Having the support of the firm has been instrumental in my success with this organization,” said Guay. “We look forward to hosting the next inbound trade mission from Canada at our Fort Lauderdale office this November.”

Guay joined the firm in 2014 and was recently promoted to principal in the tax department, where he oversees Kaufman Rossin’s specialized research and development (R&D) tax credit and cost segregation service lines. Both service lines have been expanding to help more clients generate substantial tax savings, especially in the technology, manufacturing, healthcare, construction and real estate industries.
